Welcome to the World Tripp...

We headed to Jackson today to visit the newest addition to our family!  We were all excited to meet Tripp but I think Addie was the most excited of all of us.  She told her class yesterday that "her" Kristen was having a baby today.

Addie loved Tripp's little fingers and toes.  She does not want to babysit or change diapers... she tells everybody that is Clint's job.

The proud uncle... Tripp looks good in his arms.

Drew loved Tripp's paci the most and the fact he got to play with Poppy and watch Barney on Clint's ipad.

It feels so good to hold a newborn... especially when I don't have to wake up every 3 hours:)

Poppy and Tripp... how will he fit 3 kids on the dunebuggy???  I am certain he will find a way!

I think she is smitten...

This does not look good... hospital fun.

The proud, beautiful, laid back momma... she was so good to let these crazy kids come and visit.

All tuckered out...

There is a new baby in the world... Tripp Cason Sanders.  He made his debut on September 7th, 2012 @ 9:35 am.  He is absolutely perfect in EVERYWAY!!!!

The Babies Are Coming....

There is A LOT of baby buzz going around our family... and it is not me carrying the bun in the oven!
I am soon going to be an Aunt again on both sides of the family.  This past month, we have been celebrating the arrival of Tripp Cason Sanders and the reveal of Baby Primm.

Tripp's room is an crocodile theme (we are in Big Orange Country so it cannot be a Gator) so the shower took on a life of its own with the decor.

Addie Sneaking Up on Uncle Clint... the soon to be daddy!

The Beautiful Mommy to Be...

Soon to be Mommy and Daddy...

Addie's job during the shower to get the presents for Kristen to open.
She was really good for about 20 minutes.  That was just a drop in the bucket since Kristen opened presents for an hour and a half.  Needless to say, Tripp needs nothing but love.

The girls and one boy having some cupcakes...
Doesn't Ethan look like he is having a blast???

 The watching of the presents...

 Me and the Mommy-to-be....

The following weekend, we celebrated Baby Primm.  Everyone was guessing what Kelli and Jason's baby would be.  I definitely think the crowd was leaning toward pink for this one.

The wonderful table to help celebrate the reveal...

Will it be pink or blue inside???

Hayden doesn't know what is coming but right now he has balloons and all is well in the world.

 Addie holds the answer...
It's A BOY!!!!

It's BLUE all around this time and we could not be happier for the parents-to-be!!!

Addie Funnies...

One of the best things about Addie being at school with me are the stories.  I get "Addie" stories every where I go.  Here are the top 3 stories:

1.)  Addie's art teacher, Mrs. K.K. told me this: When she was taking the class on a tour of the ins and outs of the art room she was telling them about where to place their art when it was wet.  Mrs. K.K. showed them a wire drying rack and said, "You will place your piece of art here and it will stay the night to dry."  Addie then stated, " So it is like a art hotel... because it stays the night."

2.)  The kids are finally starting to realize that I am not some creepy teacher that just REALLY likes this girl in Mrs. Janessa's class, but that I am Addie's mom.  One day while working at her table, Mrs. Janessa over hears this conversation...
Some kid asks, "So your mom is a teacher here?"
Addie states, "Yes she is a teacher down this hall."
Some kid, "Which one is she?"
Addie, "Just look for the lady that has a face like this." (while saying this envision Addie using her finger to make a circle around her face)

3.)  While discussing objects that are found at the beach (most children are saying sand, water, shells, crabs, palm trees)  Addie states condos are found at the beach.  Love my girl!

Getting settled...

We are slowly but surely settling in to the new schedule that comes with a new school year.  We are getting used to the dance... gymnastics.... Wednesday night Bible Study... homework schedule.  So in the craziness that is August with a new kindergartner... teacher mommy... hard working husband... and 2 year old that is along for the ride... this is what has been happening:

1.)  Kyle turned 33 years old.  Addie picked out an ice cream cake for the occasion.  Kyle got a watch from the fab 3, LiLi, and Poppa.

A birthday kiss...

Drew had to do the same...

This is how Drew travels these days...

Grabbing some outside playtime after school.
I think Addie was making a "Huckleberry Pie" with the petals.

Addie is ready for the homework.
When she plays at Aubree's house, they play school.  Of course, they have about three of these desks in their playroom so Addie thought she HAD to HAVE one to do homework.  She told me and LiLi to be on the look out for one at the antique store.  When I told Mr. Brett this, he so graciously gave Addie one of his extras.  She was so happy when she saw it... she stocked it that night with paper and crayons.
She loves this desk so much.

We have also been on the baby shower/ baby reveal party circuit this past month.  Baby Tripp Sanders will be making his appearance soon and I will have a new nephew in December on the Primm side.  I will try to post some pics about that soon as well.  I am just busy loving life right now.... post back soon... I hope!

Weekend Adventures...

The past few weekends, our family has been busy exploring some interesting parts of Tennessee... Here is the recap...

Our Sunday School Class got together for a picnic and hiking at The Narrows of the Harpeth.  It was a nice day with low humidity and nice temperatures.  LiLi and Poppa were nice to stay home with Drew that afternoon so Kyle and I could 1.)  Have time with Addie  2.)  Not worry about Drew falling off a cliff and be able to enjoy ourselves.

The wonderful view walking to the picnic site.  While we were walking to the picnic site... all 100 yards... Addie was saying (complaining) how far it was, she was hungry, she was thirsty, and that she had to use the bathroom.

Her tune quickly changed when she saw a certain someone.

Hiking Buddies

After a delightful lunch, we went to the trail to climb up to "Table Top"
We hiked about 2 hours.  Halfway up to the top we stopped at a waterfall.  Addie is fearless and wanted to jump off the waterfall... like some of the teenagers that were there were doing.  She was trying her best to climb over to the ledge of the waterfall.

To her delight, her daddy helped her get up HIGH...

Our view at the top... not the Smokies or the Rockies... but nice for Middle Tennessee.

See the drop off.  That's why Drew did not make this trip!

The next weekend, we went to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens to view their Summer Tree House Exhibit.... along with EVERYONE ELSE in the Nashville area.  It was hot and very crowded and Drew was NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.  As much as I wanted to take him, he did not want to be there.  As much as I want to include him in "fun" excursions, I have to remember he is 2!  Kyle was right on this one and said he would gladly stay at home with him on the next "fun" outing.

Addie on the other hand loved the afternoon and the tree houses.
Her favorite one was the Walden House that had a "attic".

Drew not hiding the fact that he is not having fun.
Me trying to put on a happy face.
Addie loving every minute.
Kyle not wanting to remember the day:)

Drew and his one and only smile for the day... at least until we got back home!

Addie the Zebra...

The last adventure around Tennessee was a kid free one thanks to Ninnie and Poppy.  Addie and Drew went to stay with them for the Labor Day Weekend. There is nothing more grand than a weekend to reconnect with your best friend and just be a party of 2.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE MY KIDS, but it is so nice to have loving grandparents to take them for the long weekend.

Usually Kyle and I go to Knoxville for the Vols opener, but this year they played in Atlanta.  Logistically we just could not get there on Friday night for the game, so we planned a day trip to Lynchburg to visit Mr. Jack Daniels.

The tour was fun and free.
We learned a lot  and the smells reminded us of the student section at a UT football game:)
We went to a BBQ restaurant to eat on their court square and then went shopping.
