Princess Addie Turns 2!!!

Our little princess turned two this week and we brought in the new year of milestones and memories with a bash.  This year's celebration was a little different seeing as though our little baby is not a baby anymore.  She is a full fledged toddler... full of energy and always on the go.  To snap the family birthday picture we had to get the camera ready and snatch her up in our arms.  With this being said, getting our little birthday princess to do the traditional pagentry of a birthday was like herding cats.  Addie was having way to much fun playing with the house full of friends and family to even bother with cake, presents, and pictures.

And what a cake it was!  Addie's grandmother (aka LiLi) went all out for her little princess.  When I gave her the idea for the Princess Minnie Mouse cake, I was expecting a confectionary of sorts with some cute little Minnie Mouse ears.  Oh was I surprised when the cake of all birthday cakes was delivered to my home.  Kyle summed up the cake in these words, "I thought Addie was turning two, but now I realize that my two year old is getting married at Disney World this weekend."  Leave it to LiLi to bring the greatest cake ever.... what to do next year?
After all of the friends and family arrived, I decided that a kid pic was needed.  All of the children were upstairs playing and I want to note that I have decided that contractors place kid magnets in stairs because kids are always attracted to them.  We gathered them on the stairs to take a few pics.  As always when children are present so are the cameras.  You would have thought the Pitt-Jolie children were at the bash because the flashes started to go off.  This is the best one I had...
Our little girl with her cake... what you cannot see is that in her hand is a cupcake.  She is a girl after her mother's heart.  This day was filled with lots of fun, family, and friends.  I cannot believe twenty-four months have passed since my life was changed forever.  Talk about the greatest gift that was ever given to me.
