Ordinary Days of May....

We finished another year of dance.
This is Addie on costume day.
She loved her tutu and cried when we had to take it off.

Addie watched an episode of Franklin and got the
idea she wants to learn how to play baseball.
Kyle got out in the yard and
 discovered she is pretty good.

One night we had an emergency...
Mr. Bear got the mumps!
Sometimes I wonder where she comes up with this stuff????

    Drew all smiles

Having fun outside on a wonderful day...

Let the lazy days of Summer Begin!!!!

I'm A Graduate...

We have officially ended an era....

We have a graduate!!!

Addie's preschool class had a spring program and graduation ceremony.  It is absolutely the best feeling in the world to watch your child perform on stage and accomplish something.  To see her with her teachers... her friends... to see her in her world... where I am not there to help or comfort.  It is just amazing what Addie has accomplished by going to preschool.  From being peeled off of me at Mother's Day Out when she was two.... to standing on stage singing and getting a diploma!

The backdrop for the stage... just look at all of those little hands.

Addie walking in with her class...

The 3 year olds are in orange and the 4 year olds are in blue.
They sang/ shouted a few songs together.

Performing "I'm a graduate!"

Getting her diploma from Mrs. LaDonna.

Good thing I have a fast camera
because she did not linger to long.

So long Preschool "Camp"... as Addie likes to call it.

Addie's Fantastic Teachers
Mrs. Jody and Mrs. LaDonna
Everybody always states to me, "There is just something about a kindergarten teacher."
Well I am going to say, "There is just something special about a preschool teacher!"
These ladies were fabulous this year for Addie.

Daddy giving Addie her flowers and balloon for a year of hard work.

Poppa and LiLi with the grad...

Ninnie and Poppy with the grad...

Uncle Jason and Aunt Kelli with the grad...

The proud parents of the grad...
I know what you are thinking...
what is it going to be like when she graduates high school or college???
I hope just as great as this day:)

Mommy trying on the cap... it has been a long time!

Mother's Day...

A blog flashback to Mother's Day.....  It is amazing the time I have on my hands when it's SUMMER vacation.

5 years and 3 months into the whole world of Motherhood... that is hard to wrap my mind around... and I cannot list the number of things I have not learned but here are some things for certain...

The days are long but the years are so short.

When I look in these beautiful blue eyes, I hope I am being my best everyday... teaching her how to grow...  to become a strong woman of the Lord... to love life how it is... to have fun being yourself.

That when this little man smiles, it melts my heart just like his daddy's smile does.
That I can teach him how to be a gentleman that loves the important women in his life.
That he will love the Lord and life as much in 30 years as he does right now.

That these little ones KNOW how much
they are loved by the mommas in their life.

That I have some big shoes to fill when it comes to being a mommy.

 A mother holds her
 children's hands for a while,
but their hearts forever.

Addie's World Cup....

The pregame warm-up.
No matter how hard I try, Drew cannot help but get in the middle of the team.
He just wants to play!

Addie's last soccer game of the spring season was a couple of weeks ago and she was so excited because.... SHE GOT A TROPHY!!!  We have survived our first adventure into organized sports.

Warming up with the team...

 Addie kicking the ball in.
I am sure there is a more technical term and I will learn more if she sticks with it:)

Addie and Hannah..
This picture just makes me smile because Addie looks so little next to a kindergartner.

Powerhouse Evan and Addie showing off their trophies.

The team line up getting their prizes for a great season.

Addie and Esther loving their trophies...

After the game, Coach Kyle treated the team to ice cream.

Ordinary Days... Turning 32... Old Timer's Day... Opry Mills...

Drew turning into Old McDonald...

Addie on Pirate Day at Preschool...

The whole outfit...

With her teacher Miss Jody... I love these teachers!

Addie's newest obsession... Squeakies.  She leaves them in the strangest places for us to find.
Flounder and Sebastian spent the night in the fridge.

Celebrating my 32nd birthday with my favorites.
Mom and Dad came over and we went to dinner at Cracker Barrel.  We then came home to have some cake.  Addie had talked Dad into taking her shopping for me.  She came through with some of the best "prom" jewelry for me to wear when "daddy and I have date night."

Kyle added some charms to my bracelet...

She also picked out matching "A" necklaces for us to wear together...
this girl can melt my heart.

My Birthday Flowers from my mom and dad...

Family fun at Mr. Gatti's

Drew loves any game with a ball!!!

Old Timer's Day = the best people watching day in Dickson.
Addie waiting for the parade to start at Kyle's office.
