And what a month it was. What is it about the month of May that makes it so busy and fun all at the same time. It seemed like we had something every weekend and to top it all off I was sick for about a week along with Drew.
So what did we do in the month of May to make it so merry???
Get ready to scroll because this is going to be a long one.

Addie finished her preschool year @ United Methodist Preschool.

Can you see the sass and confidence of a four year old?
Is is just me or is the backpack getting smaller?
Addie grew a lot this year and I am very grateful for the guidance and nurturing she was given by her teachers. For a strong-willed, head strong little girl it can mean the difference in a great year and a very long year. Ms. Kim and Ms. Liz were great.
For the spring program, Addie's class sang three songs. For the B-I-B-L-E song, Addie got to hold the "E". When I asked why she got to hold the "E", she stated, "Because I would not bop people on the head with it." That's music to a mother's ear.
Drew got to hang out with the police officer this past month. During the Old Timer's Parade, Officer Ethridge's hat caught Drew's eye. He was nice enough to share with Drew. I hope Drew always has this good relationship with law enforcement.
Lately it seems like this is all we can watch with Addie... Disney Princess movies. This is Addie's picture view of movie night on the "big tv." She has taken a liking to Tangled and The Little Mermaid. She is determined to watch them until she can sing all of the songs.
I have to admit, this is one of my favorite things as well. Watching these movies makes me feel like I am nine years old. Addie does the same things that I did... she sings... she dances.... she acts out the whole movie.
Addie ready to watch with princess dress on. My favorite thing she does to act out Tangled is making Drew's crib a boat for Rapunzel and Flinn.
What happens when you have a big sister and
you think EVERYTHING she plays with is the best?
You get a little boy who loves Polly Pockets.
I think he just likes them to get on Addie's nerves.
I had girls night with my teacher friends. We were celebrating Shawna's bun in the oven. These girls have made this year so much fun. I could not have gone back to work without these girls. They help me in ways they don't even know. What a blessing to have fun at work.
We kicked off the swimming season by celebrating this little man's 2nd birthday.
Happy Birthday Knox!!!
( This is Knox telling me how old he is.)
This month I said goodbye to these 20 little darlings. I was ready for a break but I am not ready for a new class. This was the best class I think I ever had. I am going to miss them.
Addie had her first dance recital and let me just say we came a long way in a year. Flashback to August.... Addie could not walk into the studio by herself. Miss Amy, her teacher, danced Addie around on her hip for the first month until Addie found her groove. Kyle described Addie's mood toward dance the best. He said she is not a practice kind of girl, but will give her all on game day. If you peeked into Addie's rehearsals, you would see Addie looking at herself in the mirror, playing with her skirt, sitting on her dot, or telling everybody off the wall comments like "I have bug bites, Miss Amy." But amazingly enough, the moves got in her mind and she was able to razzle and dazzle for recital.
Addie getting ready for the dress rehearsal.
Only to bad for her there were not many fish to be seen.
After about 15 minutes in 95 degree heat, she gave up.
Addie's favorite landmark at the river.
Funny exchange between Little Addie Reese and myself.
Me: "Addie where are her seashells?"
Addie: "Maybe she forgot them at home."
After the boat ride and yummy dinner we had some company and campfire stories with Poppy and cooked some smores.
